Terms of service
Last updated: [date]
1. Who we are
Allotment is provided by [Company name] (“we”). By installing the app you agree to these terms and to Shopify’s terms of service.
2. The service
Allotment records staff allowance takes, approvals, staff discounts and related reports. You remain responsible for your own staff policy, payroll and tax reporting; benefit-in-kind and payroll figures are provided to help you and aren’t tax advice.
3. Fees
Fees are billed by Shopify: your plan’s monthly fee, which includes a number of staff, plus $1 for each extra staff member active during the billing period, up to the plan’s monthly maximum. New installs get a 30-day free trial. We’ll give 30 days’ notice of any price change.
4. Your responsibilities
Keep staff records accurate, make sure you have a lawful basis to process your staff’s data and tell them how it’s used, and keep access to your Shopify admin secure.
5. Data protection
We act as your processor — see our privacy policy. A data processing agreement is available on request.
6. Availability and support
We work to keep the app available and fix problems quickly but can’t guarantee uninterrupted service. Support is by email at support@getallotment.com.
7. Liability
Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the previous 12 months, and we aren’t liable for indirect losses. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
8. Ending
You can uninstall at any time. Your data is then deleted as described in the privacy policy.
9. Changes
We may update these terms and will tell you about significant changes in the app or by email.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
